Monkey Love Dessert Bar & Gallery is a philanthropic company that is all about the kids.  This is truly the underlining premise behind Monkey Love.  As an adult survivor of child abuse myself, Monkey Love became my path to raise funds and awareness against child abuse on my own terms.  Funds are raised two ways: 100% of the tip jar and 10% of net profit bakery sales are tithed to one children’s charity against child abuse.   Other events are held throughout the year to increase those funds and awareness campaigns.  Monkey Love sponsors volunteer drives, kid’s activities within bigger events like Mardi Gras, donations of gift certificates, goody bags and our famous desserts for special events. 

How is a children’s charity chosen?  Within a region, there is a children’s advocacy group that works closely with the local DFACS (Department of Family and Children Services).  The advocate group works side by side with the caseworkers to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of each child.  This advocate group is my choice of charities but I do not force this group upon any franchisees.
